1 UNIT SCALING/teeth cleaning $74.17/unit
1 unit of scaling is 15 minutes spent removing calculus (tartar) from around the teeth above and below the gumline by your dental hygienist.

1 UNIT ROOT PLANING $80.27/unit
1 unit of root planing is 15 minutes spent smoothing the roots of the teeth and removal of dead cementum by your dental hygienist. This procedure encourages reattachment of the gums to the teeth.

RADIOGRAPHS 2-4 typically taken per year, up to 7 on first visit $50.44-161.94
Radiographs (xrays) are typically taken once per year by your dental hygienist to check between the teeth for decay and to monitor bone levels. Much of the cleaning is done below the gumline. It is important for us to have radiographs in order to diagnose oral conditions and create a "map" for tartar removal.

Sealant is a coating we can place over deep grooves on molar and premolar permanent teeth which can prevent bacteria from getting trapped in the grooves and causing decay. Typically applied to children's new adult teeth. Sealants can be applied during the teeth cleaning appointment

ATRAUMATIC RESTORATIVE THERAPY (ART) $130.10/1st tooth in a quadrant, $71.04 for each additional tooth in the same quadrant
Soft decay is removed by hand and a glass ionomer temporary restoration is placed that releases fluoride to help repair part of the tooth. Further treatment by a Dentist may be required. Please note that only certain types of decay can be treated with ART
